Structure and Research

I have been doing some research before starting to write my piece. I have been looking at the history in the Taino people, who inhibited Cuba when Christopher Columbus made his journey. I have come across some articles depicting the religious or spiritual practices of the Taino people, along with an article about the misrepresentation of the 'Noble Savage". which I will try to incorporate into my work.  I have a basic structure for the satire I am going to write.

Christopher Columbus sets out on voyage wanting to prove himself to Queen Isabel.    Initially he wants gold and tries to get the Taino people to show him where the gold is  they are hesitant and he fails to find enough gold even for his own personal reward,  he then tries for religious conversion seeing as they 'have no religion".   He fails at this also as they already have religious practices. They interpret his religious teaching only metaphorically and incorporate them into their own practices. Queen Isabel is furious about lack of gold and needing to bring something back Columbus sets out to bring back a boat full of servants and workers, this quickly descends into slavery however,  he is praised by the Spanish people for his success. There is a wipeout of the Taino people and Columbus feels empty and unsuccessful as his success is soon overshadowed by over explorers and conquistadors who successfully find gold.
I am not sure if I should write this in script form or in letters? Any ideas are welcome!!
