My rewrite is
based on the 1972 Bruce Lee’s movie Fist of Fury. It is about after the defeat
of Sino-British Opium War, The Eight-Power Allied Forces divided concessions in
Shanghai of China. By the time of Japanese invasion, Chinese were called “Sick
man of East Asia”, at the side of the Japanese concession’s gate was written
“Chinese and dogs are not allowed to go in.”
During the time Huo
Yuanjia founded “Jingwu Men” for salubrity and patriotism. “Jingwu Men” gained world renown and Huo
Yuanjia was called a generation villagemaster because for him there was no
counterpart over the world. But several months later the founder of “Jingwu Men”,
Huo Yuanjia suddenly died. His favorite apprentice, Chen Zhen returned to
Shanghai from Japan.

I am going to create
a Japanese character--Chen Zhen’s girl friend. And based on her point of view,
how she reflects on everything Chen Zhen has been through in the original
movie.
I will later
upload the final rewrite chapter by chapter. I am working on putting things
together now.
